Since 2012 I have been the teacher of A.P. U.S. Government and Politics and since 2013 I have been Vice Principal & Director of Counseling.

I first taught at Damien from 1982-1998, and returned in 2012, after 11 years (1998-2009) as a Project Manager in the software/technology industry (secondary school student information systems) and 3 years (2009-2012) as Co-Director of Guidance and College Counseling at Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield, CA (Marin County).

As an instructor, I created and taught (or am teaching) the following courses: A.P. Government (U.S. and Comparative), A.P. European History, Economics, Music History, Law Survey, Government, Social Science 9, and Model United Nations. I was a College Board A.P. Consultant and/or Exam Reader from 1987 - 1998.

As an administrator, I have been the Leadership Team Chairperson of Damien's WCEA/WASC accreditations for the 1989, 1995, 2013, 2019, & 2025 cycles. I have also served (among other roles) as an Assistant Principal (Student Activities, 1983-1989; Academic Affairs, 1988-1998; and Guidance and College Counseling, 2012-2013). 
 
I graduated with an A.B. in Economics (minor: Political Science) from Occidental College (Los Angeles), and with an M.A. in Social Science (emphases: History, Geography, and Political Science) from California State University, San Bernardino.
